Abandoning Pets Is Cruel
Some monumentally inconsiderate, cruel and irresponsible person abandoned kittens in west Ventura on Jan. 15. Left behind were two screaming, hungry, terrified and helpless kittens running all over the block in a panic. The kittens this person threw away are beautiful, sweet and affectionate. I had only to place one inexpensive classified advertisement in two of our local newspapers in order to get 13 responses within two days from people who wanted them.
Readers, please have your pets spayed and neutered. The Animal Regulation Department sometimes gives vouchers to help with the expense. Also, there are several groups set up for this purpose. Be good citizens. Don’t create messes for others to clean up.
There are nice families who are wishing to adopt that animal, even though you consider it garbage. Don’t you be the one to behave like garbage.
