Out of Africa: Dogged by controversy, Michael Jackson has called off his non-singing African tour and plans to fly back to the United States today. Jackson aide Bob Jones denied rumors that the singer was suffering heat exhaustion in Tanzania’s steamy Indian Ocean port of Dar es Salaam. The controversy began last week when screaming Ivory Coast fans struggling for a glimpse of the pop star were tear-gassed by riot police.
