Authorities have recovered the bodies of seven people--two of them children--who were killed in a plane crash in the snowy San Bernardino Mountains Sunday afternoon.

The bodies were found Monday afternoon on the rugged snowy crags near Angelus Oaks, San Bernardino officials said.

The bodies, burned beyond recognition, had to be identified through dental records, officials said.

James Enloe, 58, of Chula Vista, died after the chartered twin engine Piper Cheyenne he piloted slammed into the mountains at the 7,000-foot level at about 5 p.m. Sunday, officials said.

Also killed in the crash were co-pilot, Jim Davis, who also lived in the San Diego area; passengers Rogelio Buelna, a 56-year-old auto parts businessman; a woman believed to be his wife; his son, Rogelio Jr.; an 8-year-old daughter, and another child about the same age, officials said.

The passengers were from Tijuana and Mexicali, officials said.

The plane, owned by Andrew & Williamson Sales Co., a San Ysidro produce company, was about 10 miles from its destination at Big Bear Ski Resort when it crashed, officials said.

Authorities say they are still trying to determine if the plane, flying in low cloud conditions, crashed because of the weather.
