SEAL BEACH : Repairs Started on Bridge to Marina
County crews are working to repair the small bridge leading to the Sunset Aquatic Park Marina that was closed Tuesday because of damage caused by last week’s heavy rains.
The bridge, at the westernmost end of Edinger Avenue, did not collapse. However, several of the wood pilings which support the bridge broke, causing a crack in the structure, said Bill Roiter, public works operations manager for the county’s Environmental Management Agency.
Replacing damaged wood pilings could take up to six weeks.
