SPORTS ON WEEKEND TV : Games’ Conclusion on CBS

The Olympic Winter Games, concluding this weekend, should dominate the sports viewing choices that will include the Lakers, Clippers and Kings and the USC and UCLA basketball teams.

Winter Olympics: Ice hockey’s bronze medal game, short track speedskating and speed skiing will comprise today’s early (10 a.m.-3 p.m.) telecast on CBS (Channels 2 and 8). The men’s slalom, the final runs of the four-man bobsled and exhibition figure skating will highlight tonight’s 7-11 p.m. show. Ice hockey’s gold medal game will be aired live Sunday at 6 a.m. A hockey recap and exhibition skiing will be presented from 1:30-3 p.m., and the Closing Ceremonies will air from 8-11 p.m.

Pro Basketball: The Clippers, 104-97 winners over Phoenix Feb. 14, will visit the Suns at 6:30 p.m. on KCOP Channel 13. The Lakers, 116-100 losers at Golden State Monday, will play host to the Warriors at 7:30 p.m. tonight on Prime Ticket. NBC’s (Channels 4, 36 and 39) Sunday game will match the Boston Celtics and Indiana Pacers at 10 a.m.

College Basketball: No. 2 UCLA, which has appeared on ABC, ESPN, KCBS and Prime Ticket this season, will play Notre Dame at 11 a.m. today on NBC (Channels 4, 36 and 39). No. 15 USC will play host to Stanford at 3 p.m. on Channels 2 and 63. SportsChannel will air delayed No. 12 Nevada Las Vegas and New Mexico State at 10:30 p.m. tonight.

Sunday’s games matching teams ranked by the Associated Press: No. 17 Syracuse vs. No. 25 Georgetown (9 a.m., Channels 2 and 8); No. 16 Florida State vs. DePaul (10:30 a.m., Channels 7, 3, 10 and 42); No. 6 Ohio State vs. No. 7 Indiana (11 a.m., Channels 2 and 8); and No. 5 Arizona vs. Temple (12:30 p.m., Channels 7, 3, 10 and 42).

Other Sports: The Kings will visit the Winnipeg Jets at 5 p.m. Sunday on Prime Ticket. The PGA’s San Diego Invitational will air at 1 p.m. today and 12:30 p.m. Sunday on Channels 4, 36 and 39. Terry Norris will defend his WBC super-welterweight title against Carl Daniels at 4:30 p.m. today on Channels 7, 3 and 42; 3:30 p.m. on Channel 10.
