Singing Their Praise: Veteran movie producer Pandro S. Berman and longtime “Tonight Show” producer Fred De Cordova will get lifetime achievement awards Wednesday from the Producers Guild of America. The producing teams from “The Silence of the Lambs” and TV’s “Brooklyn Bridge” and “Northern Exposure” also will receive special honors. . . . The Directors Guild of America will give its first career achievement award for sports directing to NBC veteran Ted Nathanson on March 14. . . . Meanwhile, the Publicists Guild of America will present an award of merit to film pioneer Hal Roach on March 27. The guild’s showmanship awards will go to Garry Marshall, Paul Witt, Tony Thomas and Susan Harris. . . . And on Monday, ubiquitous “Bugsy” star Warren Beatty will be named a commander of arts and letters at France’s Culture Ministry.
