Hallelujah! Finally a presidential candidate who sounds like a statesman--in contrast to the mealy-mouthed politicians, whose programs are nothing but a raid on the treasury to pander to the voters. That includes the President. I am reminded of Churchill’s “blood, sweat and tears.”
Former Massachusetts Sen. Paul Tsongas may not be electable by Madison Avenue standards and may not win a TV beauty contest of candidates. Neither would have candidate Abraham Lincoln.
