The NHL alleges that Colonial Realty Co. presented false information when it bought a 37.5% interest in the Hartford Whalers three years ago and may rescind approval of the sale, league President John Ziegler said.
Colonial Realty has filed for reorganization under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Act, which allows it to remain in business while it works out a plan to repay its debts.
