25 Men Arrested in Solicitation Sting

Undercover police officers arrested 25 men on suspicion of solicitation Saturday night on El Cajon Boulevard, authorities said.

The undercover sting operation began at 8:30 a.m. and ended at 2 p.m. near Euclid Avenue in East San Diego, with the men being charged on suspicion of solicitation of prostitutes, said Lt. Tom Orden of the San Diego police. All 25 received misdemeanor citations, Orden said, and all but two were released. One man was additionally charged on suspicion of drunk driving and another was found with an unidentified drug, Orden said.

The youngest man arrested was 18 and the oldest was 56, Orden said. A student, an engineer, a delivery driver, a salesman, a laborer, military men, a self-employed man and an unemployed man were among those arrested, Orden said.
