Directors Guild Nominations: CBS led the nominations Sunday in the Directors Guild of America’s awards for TV directing with seven, including recognition for “Northern Exposure” and “Murphy Brown.” Directors James Hayman and Stuart Margolin were each nominated for an episode of “Northern Exposure,” as was director Peter Bonerz for a “Murphy Brown” episode. NBC was represented by nominations for James Burrows, for a “Cheers” episode, and David Steinberg, for a “Seinfeld” show. ABC was shut out in prime time. Awards in six categories will be given March 14 in Beverly Hills and New York.
