Iraqi Nuclear Program Focus of UCI Talk

A political scientist from the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory will discuss Iraq’s nuclear program on Thursday at UC Irvine.

William Domke, who specializes in nuclear proliferation issues at the Livermore laboratory run by the University of California, will talk about what is known of the extent of Iraq’s nuclear weapons program and the lessons to be learned about controlling technology.

Domke will speak at 3:30 p.m. in Room 248 of the university’s Social Science Lab.

The talk, which is free to the public, is one of a series of weekly forums presented by the Global Peace and Conflict Studies program at the university.
