Courtroom TV: Television coverage of the Rodney King beating trial that begins Thursday in Simi Valley is expanding. KTTV Channel 11 will broadcast the first day of the trial live starting at 9 a.m., and will break into regular daytime programming over the next several weeks depending on the proceedings. The Court TV cable network, which will cover the entire trial, has been picked up by Simmons Cable TV in Long Beach (Channel 56 or 64) and United Artists Cable in the East San Fernando Valley (Channel 47). For those with back-yard satellite dishes, Court TV’s feed is unscrambled on Satcom F1R, transponder 12.
