Benefactor for Alzheimer’s Study to Receive Award

LONG BEACH — International opera star Dorothy Kirsten French, founder of the French Foundation for Alzheimer’s Research, will receive the Senior Care Action Network Foundation’s Horizon Award at a dinner Saturday at the Long Beach Hilton.
Emmy Award-winning actress Betty White also will be honored at the benefit as a special guest of the foundation.
Proceeds will go to help provide goods and services to needy senior citizens. Tickets are $150. The benefit will include cocktails at 6:30 p.m. and dinner at 7:30 p.m. at the hotel at 2 World Trade Center. For more information, call (310) 435-0380.
