Benefactor for Alzheimer’s Study to Receive Award

International opera star Dorothy Kirsten French, founder of the French Foundation for Alzheimer’s Research, will receive the Senior Care Action Network Foundation’s Horizon Award at a dinner Saturday at the Long Beach Hilton.

Emmy Award-winning actress Betty White also will be honored at the benefit as a special guest of the foundation.

Proceeds will go to help provide goods and services to needy senior citizens. Tickets are $150. The benefit will include cocktails at 6:30 p.m. and dinner at 7:30 p.m. at the hotel at 2 World Trade Center. For more information, call (310) 435-0380.
