Money Talks: Concerned about the decline of entertainment jobs in Hollywood, the Community Redevelopment Agency on Thursday approved a special loan program designed to encourage entertainment businesses to stay in, or relocate to Hollywood. Pending City Council approval, interest-free loans up to $250,000 will soon be available to firms directly or indirectly involved in the production and distribution of feature films, television and radio shows, cable programming, television commercials, music recording and related fields. The financing program evolved from a one-day workshop held last fall with entertainment industry leaders, CRA and other city and county officials. The loans are for rehabilitation, including expansion or adaptive re-use of facilities in the 1,100-acre Hollywood Redevelopment Project.
