The Monterey Park City Council last week swore in the members of three commissions for new terms ending in 1994.
Mike Li began his first term on the Planning Commission. Beginning second terms were Jack Grothe and Dexter MacBride. David Meyer was switched to the Planning Commission from the Park and Recreation Commission. Bruce Flamenbaum will begin a full term in December.
On the Parks and Recreation Commission, Raul Medina began his first term. Returning for second terms were Lydia Plunk, Pat Whelan and Joe Ruzicka. David Schey, formerly a planning commissioner, moved to the Parks and Recreation Commission, but was absent and thus not sworn in.
Don Ury and Diana Cheng were newly appointed to the Traffic and Transportation Commission. Don Gravdahl, Todd Chavers and John Beke will serve second terms on that commission.
