HIGH-SPEED TRAIN: A committee of the Los Angeles County Transportation Commission will meet Wednesday to discuss a proposal to delay plans to build a high-speed train from LAX to Palmdale. The committee would forward its recommendation to the full commission.
DOCTOR ON TRIAL: A trial is scheduled to begin Tuesday in San Fernando Superior Court for Dr. Sandra Soho, a Santa Clarita physician accused of illegally prescribing more than 3,000 painkillers to two women. Prosecutors say Soho deliberately addicted the women to the pills to promote drug sales.
