From Times Staff and Wire Reports

Old East German secret police files name a member of the Brandenburg state parliament as a war crimes suspect in the shooting of six Ukrainian Jews during World War II, Berlin’s Welt am Sonntag newspaper reported. The paper said Gustav Just, 71, a Social Democrat, denied the assertion that he volunteered to kill the Jews. Just did admit taking part in the shooting as a “little soldier,” but said his entire platoon had been ordered to kill six terrorist suspects.
