WESTLAKE VILLAGE : Council Approves Expansion of Inn

The Westlake Village City Council has approved an expansion of the Westlake Inn restaurant and hotel after owners agreed to scale back their original plans.
Westlake Properties Inc. last year proposed building a 15,000-square-foot office and retail complex as well as 150 more rooms and extra dining space at its 20-year-old facility on the Westlake Golf Course. Council members rejected the project as too big for the site.
The project approved Wednesday would not include the retail center and would add 108 rooms to the hotel’s existing 75, Planning Director Robert Theobald said.
The restaurant would be expanded by about 11,500 square feet, with most of the additional space taken up by banquet and conference facilities.
