Silentradio Inc., a Chatsworth supplier of digital electronic signs used by advertisers, said it has tentatively agreed to merge some of its assets with those of Site-based Media Inc., a New York media software company that has been testing a system that delivers advertising on TV monitors in stores.
Silentradio and Site-based Media have agreed in principle to team with NBC and food wholesaler Fleming Cos. Inc. to develop a silent TV system for stores. Lewis Solomon, chairman and chief executive of Silentradio, will be chairman and chief executive of the new venture, to be called On-Site Media.
