Two middle school students have been arrested for allegedly spiking a teacher’s coffee creamer with a prescription drug that causes excessive urination.

The boys, ages 13 and 14, dumped about 80 milligrams of furosemide, a drug often used to treat heart patients, in the creamer last week while the 39-year-old teacher was out of her classroom, authorities said.

The youths, whose names were withheld because of their ages, were arrested Monday and charged with poisoning food.
