Monrovia : Campaign Sign Complaint
City Councilwoman Mary Wilcox complained Tuesday that some of her campaign signs for the April 14 election have been stolen or burned.
Wilcox, whose opposition on the ballot includes Councilman William Card and City Clerk Phyllis McCarville, said four signs have disappeared from the lawns of her supporters and a fifth was burned.
The councilwoman blamed vandals or overzealous campaign workers for the problem and said she hoped an ethics pledge signed by all candidates would be honored during the final weeks of campaigning.
