EL CAJON : Man, 91, Faces More Molestation Counts
Fifteen more child molestation charges were filed Wednesday against a 91-year-old El Cajon man suspected of molesting a 7-year-old girl.
The accused, Jack Clarence Goings, is the oldest man in San Diego County history to be charged with child molestation, prosecutors say.
Goings, who has no previous record of child molestation, pleaded not guilty to all 29 molestation charges against him involving a neighbor girl. His attorney, Stephen Cohan, requested a June 16 trial date, which was scheduled by San Diego Superior Court Judge Frederic A. Link.
Goings, retired from the merchant marine, is free on a $50,000 bail on condition that he have no contact with minors.
