Royalty Dispute: Film director Akira Kurosawa, 81, is suing the studio that backed many of his films in a dispute over satellite television royalties. Kurosawa’s suit, filed in Tokyo, accuses Toho Co. of breaking a contract by refusing to pay the royalties on 21 films, including “The Seven Samurai.” He is seeking $491,000.
