Jewett Top Professor at Cal Poly Pomona
John Jewett, physics professor at Cal Poly Pomona, has been named the university’s 1991-1992 Outstanding Professor. He will be considered for the honor for the Cal State University system.
He is a contributor to “The Physics Teacher,” the “Journal of College Science Teaching” and the “American Journal of Physics.” He is also editor of the “Journal of the Pomona Introductory Physics Assn.” in which students publish their papers.
Jewett, a graduate of Drexel University with master’s and doctoral degrees from Ohio State University, is project director of the Southern California Area Modern Physics Institute, which works to improve science high school teachers’ skills.
