Shadowy Crusader Gets a ‘Bravo’

Bravo to Mike Echols for exposing the lecherous North American Man-Boy Love Assn. (“A Victory for Shadowy Crusader,” March 10).
I couldn’t believe my eyes when I read that NAMBLA spokesman Renato Corraza stated: “We see ourselves as a civil rights group, actually. We see our platform as the liberation of young people.”
Beyond the moral bankruptcy of such thinking, the testimony of adults who were molested as children ought to give weight to the psychological damage inflicted by this activity.
Gay rights activists would do well to distance themselves from this group. Essentially they are emotionally demented adults who seek the innocence of their youth through the evil of their desires.
