World IN BRIEF : SOUTH AFRICA : ANC Official Killed as Grenade Explodes

An African National Congress official was killed when a grenade he was holding exploded, police in Johannesburg said. Two other people also died and two were injured. Police did not know why the ANC official, Saul Tsotetsi, had a grenade in his hand. Tsotetsi was a member of the ANC’s executive committee in the black township of Evaton, south of Johannesburg. Tsotetsi was in a home in the township of Sebokeng when the grenade went off, Bruce said.
