A ‘Queen’ Is Crowned: Executive producer David L. Wolper has picked actress Halle Berry for the lead role of Alex Haley’s paternal grandmother in “Queen,” a three-part miniseries for CBS based on Haley’s story. Production commences in April in Charleston, S.C. Berry’s film credits include “The Last Boy Scout,” “Jungle Fever” and “Strictly Business.”
