Armor All Products Corp.: The Aliso Viejo-based maker of auto-care products told the Securities and Exchange Commission recently that its board earlier in March elected David E. McDowell to replace retiring Chairman Rex R. Malson.

McDowell is president and chief operating officer of McKesson Corp., a San Francisco-based distributor of drugs and bottler of drinking water that is also Armor All’s parent company.

McDowell becomes chairman of Armor All on April 1, the day after Malson retires. He has been a director of Armor All since Jan. 21, the company said.
