Jerry Brown’s Flat-Tax Plan

Share

I was ready to vote for Jerry Brown in the California Democratic primary. Of all the candidates, he seemed like the one most able to deal with the changes facing this country.

Then I read he told auto workers in Michigan he is against the free-trade agreement with Mexico and Canada, followed by his so-far unsubstantiated charge that Hillary Clinton’s law firm profited from her husband’s (Arkansas Gov. Bill Clinton) influence.

Sorry, Jerry, these positions have betrayed you as just another craven politician, not as the voice of those who crave real change.

How are you going to explain the anti-free-trade rhetoric to Mexican-Americans in California? Walks with Cesar Chavez only go so for. Most of us support the agreement as something long overdue. And this attack on Hillary Clinton left me no choice.
