SIMI VALLEY : Supervisor to Hold Roundtable Meeting

Share

Ventura County Supervisor Vicky Howard will meet with a group of Simi Valley and Moorpark business leaders today to discuss how government can help boost the county’s economy.

Howard will sponsor the third monthly meeting of her district’s Economic Vitality Council Roundtable at 3:30 p.m. at the East County Courthouse in Simi Valley.

The supervisor holds the meetings to solicit ideas on how “government can help jump-start the economy,” said Linda White, an administrative assistant to Howard.

About 25 to 30 business owners and employees have attended the previous meetings, White said.

In past meetings, business representatives have asked that the county help ease regulations, such as new air-pollution rules that require companies with 50 employees or more to reduce the number of cars driven to work, she said.
