COUNTYWIDE : Latest Storm’s Rain Levels Vary Widely
A spring storm that lingered for days off the coast before startling county residents Thursday with lightning and thunder should clear out of the area by this afternoon, forecasters said.
Rainfall from the storm is expected to vary widely in Ventura County, with only a trace falling in some areas and up to an inch in other areas, said meteorologist Terry Schaeffer of the National Weather Service.
Forecasters with Weather Data Inc., which supplies information to The Times, predicted showers will end by this afternoon, with highs today in the mid-60s, and lows tonight in the mid-40s.
Skies will clear by Saturday, meteorologist Steve Burback said.
By late Thursday, Camarillo had received .31 inches, Thousand Oaks .08 inches, and Lake Casitas was doused with .43 inches of rain, county flood control officials reported.
