Home Savings Acquires County Bank Branches: Home Savings of America said it acquired the 10 branches of Santa Barbara-based County Bank from the federal Resolution Trust Corp. The acquisition includes about $630 million in retail deposits. Home Savings paid a premium of $4.1 million for the deposits, or about 0.65% of total deposits. “These branches . . . will not only expand our presence in this area but enable us to better serve our customers,” said Charles R. Rinehart, president and chief operating officer of Home Savings.
