NATION IN BRIEF : PENNSYLVANIA : Suspect May Have Given AIDS to Boys

Philadelphia police have arrested a man with AIDS who may have had sexual relations with several hundred teen-age boys, possibly infecting them with the deadly disease. A court official who spoke on the condition of anonymity identified the man as Ed Savitz, 50. He was known to the boys as “Uncle Eddie.” He was arraigned on charges of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, sexual abuse of children, indecent assault and corrupting the morals of a minor.
