Norwalk : Man Pleads Guilty in Death Threat Against Boss
A Long Beach man has pleaded guilty in Norwalk Superior Court to charges that he threatened to kill his boss at a Downey animal control shelter, and that he possessed explosives and brass knuckles.
Norman Chodrick, 48, will be sentenced April 13 on the three felony counts, Deputy Dist. Atty. Everett Emerson said. Chodrick, who is in custody at County Jail without bail, faces a maximum prison sentence of seven years and four months, Emerson said.
Chodrick was arrested Nov. 26 after threatening to kill his supervisor, Victor Borchart, at the Southeast Animal Control Authority facility in Downey. Afterward, Downey police officers searched Chodrick’s Long Beach home, where they discovered about 20 pounds of gunpowder, Emerson said.
