Two women suffering from multiple sclerosis were reported missing in Escondido, sheriff’s officials said.

Cindy Mahoney, 23, and Holly Myrick, 29, were last heard from April 1, when they called relatives to say they would return home the next day.

Both were believed to be carrying large sums of money, said sheriff’s dispatcher Chris Hinshaw said. Relatives told detectives the women may be headed for a physical rehabilitation center in Castaic in Los Angeles County.

Anyone with information on the women’s whereabouts should contact the sheriff’s station in Vista.
