Developers have overwhelmed the mountain lions and other animals that have lived in the hills (“Big Cats, Big Trouble,” by Carol McGraw and S. L. Sanger, March 1). While we save the land for our children to enjoy, we need to let other species, here long before us, live. Where do we expect these poor, innocent victims to go? Zoos can’t handle them all. We need to learn to appreciate our wildlife and the environment, our most precious assets. Leave the mountain lions alone, and make more state parks wilderness and areas.
