On Hunting

The March 22 News and Briefs item on the Tanzanian government’s decision to allow tourists to kill elephants for $25,000 to $40,000 has really ruined my day. I look at the photo of the elephants and wonder what kind of pitiful, surely sub-human person would look at those magnificent animals and be inspired to end their lives. If only elephants were capable of getting together their own hunting expeditions to hunt the elephant hunters.
