Glendale : Water Conservation

Share

Because of increased supplies of water from the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, mandatory water conservation will end May 1, city officials said.

Residents will still be asked to use 10% less water than the same period in 1989, but no financial penalties will be imposed.

But wasteful water practices, such as hosing down driveways and sidewalks and watering lawns between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., are still prohibited. Repeated warnings could result in installation of a flow restriction device.
