Add Trabuco Invitational: Meet Director Jack Recla, who started the Mustang track and field program six years ago with virtually no equipment or funding, said the inaugural invitational was a success--especially financially.
“We grossed $32,000,” Recla said. “We made a $9,000 profit and already put $5,500 of that in use for equipment. The rest went to the booster account.”
Doug Speck, high school editor of Track & Field News and meet director of the Arcadia Invitational, described the meet as “awesome.”
“The best first-time invitational I’ve ever seen,” Speck said.
