* Carl (Bud) Carey, president of Times Mirror Broadcasting, has been named general manager of CBS-owned flagship TV station WCBS-TV/Channel 2 in New York. Carey, a former general manager of NBC’s WNBC-TV/Channel 4 in New York, joined Times Mirror Broadcasting in 1989.
Times Mirror Broadcasting is a subsidiary of Times Mirror Co., which publishes The Times and owns and operates four network affiliated TV stations. Managers of the individual Times Mirror TV stations will report to Senior Vice President Donald F. Wright until a successor is named.
