The Woman of ‘Women’: Linda Bloodworth-Thomason, creator of CBS’ “Designing Women,” says in TV Guide that this season has not been one of her show’s best. Bloodworth-Thomason also talks about the changes she has in store for next season, which include doing more with Jan Hooks’ character, Carlene. She calls Hooks “a warehouse of talent.” Of Julia Duffy, who is leaving the series, she says: “She pedaled the bike as hard as it can be pedaled.” Bloodworth-Thomason also denies tabloid rumors that Gary Coleman is being considered for a part on the show.
