Work-Family Issues Better Understood, Survey Finds: Managers have made long strides in understanding the effect an employee’s family has on his job, according to a new Conference Board survey. The nonprofit business research organization said 91.9% of those surveyed on its work-family panel said managers have a better understanding of work-family issues than three years ago. The rest disagreed. Nearly as many--84.9%--said they planned more formal training on the subject in the next two years.
