Home Run for Scully: KTTV Channel 11’s sportscaster Vin Scully, known as the “Voice of the Dodgers,” has won the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences’ 1992 Governors Emmy. The award recognizes people who have made a special contribution to TV in L.A. Scully, who has been broadcasting Dodger games since 1950, will be presented with the honor at the Los Angeles Area Emmys on May 30 at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. He is the only announcer who has covered three perfect games and 15 no-hitters.
