Playing It Safe: Magic Johnson is taking his AIDS campaign to video. At a press conference Wednesday, he and Arsenio Hall announced they’ll host “Playing It Safe: The Truth About HIV, AIDS and You,” to be released on home video this summer. An original program produced by Arsenio Hall Communications in association with Paramount Pictures, its goal is to educate teens and young adults about AIDS. Profits will go to the Magic Johnson Foundation and other organizations fighting the disease. The tape will sell for about $10. Some retailers, such as Tower Records/Video, plan to “rent” it free.
