The city of Los Angeles and Los Angeles County Supervisor Mike Antonovich have agreed to share the $500,000 cost for a study to improve bus service in the San Fernando Valley, an Antonovich spokesman said this week.

About 40% of the cost will be paid by the city, while most of the balance will come from gasoline tax transportation funds designated for Antonovich’s district, Antonovich aide Dawson Oppenheimer said. Transportation funds from Supervisor Ed Edelman’s district will also pay part of the cost.
