Davis Semifinals in Minneapolis
The Davis Cup semifinals between the United States and Sweden will be played at the Target Center on Sept. 25-27, U.S. Tennis Assn. President Bob Cookson said.
“We got a good, fair offer from them for the semifinals,” Cookson said. “We believe that it’s a good idea to take the matches to as many cities as we can.”
Los Angeles, Portland and Seattle also had submitted bids for the event, Cookson said.
Switzerland and Brazil will meet in the other semifinal, with the winners to play Dec. 4-6 at an undetermined site.
