* James L. Kelly has been appointed vice president of finance, chief financial officer and treasurer of Trimedyne Inc. Before joining the Irvine medical laser company, he was vice president and chief financial officer of Newport Printing Systems and held similar positions with Printronix and United Technologies. Earlier, D. Joe Atchison, who previously held the position of chief financial officer of Trimedyne, was appointed president of the company’s Poly-Optical Products subsidiary.
