FileNet Posts 25% Gain in First Quarter

FileNet Corp., the Costa Mesa manufacturer of image and data processing systems, reported that net income for the first quarter totaled $2 million, equal to 18 cents per share, up 25% from the $1.6 million, or 15 cents per share, posted a year ago. Sales rose 28%, to $34.7 million from $27.2 million.
