$60 Million Asked for U.S. Afghan Assistance

WASHINGTON —
The State Department said Wednesday it has asked Congress for $60 million in humanitarian assistance for Afghanistan for fiscal 1992.
Spokeswoman Margaret Tutwiler said an additional $20 million is being requested for the 3 million Afghan refugees in neighboring Pakistan.
