‘Citizens Jury’ Idea Is Worth Watching
The article about the Claremont Colleges project “Citizens Jury” (Times, April 17) was a breath of fresh air in a smoggy political world. The quotes from the people involved were reflective of the dissatisfaction and anger of many of my friends over the elected officials and their inattention to matters affecting us all.
This article should have been in all editions, not just South Bay. The experiment here in the 36th Congressional District is worth watching, and we hope it will prove successful as a model for other places in other elections.
